Pond Life

I've been distracting myself for the past couple of months with iphoneography. Looking forward to more freedom in moving about the country soon to put my newly acquired skills to work. Meanwhile, I found this sweet little duckling leaping up in the air trying to catch bugs and practicing his water takeoffs in my backyard pond.

Beach Grass


Path to the Beach

Out of the blue a few weeks ago, I decided I’m just not interested in watercolor anymore. I started off with oil a thousand years ago but hung it up when the solvents began to bother me. This time around, I’m using water soluble oil paint. No odor, easy cleanup but I still manage to get paint everywhere. Here’s my first attempt, using a palette knife instead of brushes.
