Bangladesh Marketplace

This month the virtual paintout is in Bangladesh.Very exciting! I haven't had a chance to look it over too much, but from what little I have seen, there are a ton of colorful sights to paint. I could do a series just on the beautiful "sarees or shalwar kameeses" traditionally worn by the women. If I can find the time, it should be a fun painting month.

  1. This is beautiful! Rich, loose and "washy" color.

In fact, that is what struck me, too, about the ladies. No matter the poverty I saw all around, the ladies wore colorful and artistic clothing, the brighter the better, with lots of pattern and design. I have some bookmarked, and am hoping to make time to do some of them also.

    1. Thank you, Retta, can't wait to see what you do. I have been seeing your VERY impressive work on Sketchbook Skool. Wow, you are really doing well!
So true that despite the obvious poverty, the women (even the little girls!) are decked out in silk. Wish that style would trend here so I could eat all the chocolate my little heart desires. :)
